As we celebrate a month of love, unity, and inclusion, I am thankful for the countless times I have experienced these things firsthand working at Mt. Helix Park. I have always been extremely proud of the Trust that governs the Park and that the founding families put the words to paper in 1929 to ensure that the Park would always be a place of unity.
In the words of the Trust, the founding family dedicated the Park, “to the use, enjoyment, and inspiration of ALL people”, “to unite forever to the use of the public in general”, “for such benevolent, religious, educational, and charitable purposes as will contribute to promote knowledge and culture, to relieve the distressed in body, mind and/or spirit, to cultivate a love for the beautiful in art and nature, to foster an interest in and love of music and the drama, and to promote all things which tend to elevate and refine mankind.”
