Wilderness Gardens is a beautiful place to enjoy a hike, and a lovely spot for a picnic! Grab your boots and meet us on the trail for a special 1.5-mile ranger-led hike through the preserve to several historically significant areas where you can learn about the land, local wildlife, and why this was such a lucrative location for early settlers. Leprechaun Hunt

Do they exist? Do you feel lucky? In celebration of St. Patrick’s Day, we’d like to invite you to visit Stelzer and go on a quest to catch some very elusive leprechauns… If you can find them, bring them to the ranger office where you’ll be able to trade them for bags of gold! Star Party

Ever wondered what’s up there? Join park staff and volunteers from the San Diego Astronomy Association (SDAA) for an evening of stargazing in the preserve. Arrive in the parking lot at sunset for a twilight hike to search for bats and scorpions! Everyone can “geek out” on space while enjoying starry-night stories and hot chocolate. No overnight camping. Hike and Snake Feed

Come for a hike and stay for a snake feed! Meet at the park entrance to join staff for a short, guided nature hike that will intersect with the Pacific Crest Trail, and end with a walk-through of the museum and the feeding of real, live snakes back at the ranger station. Public Workshop: Otay Valley Regional Trail Alignment

Public Meeting: Preparing for the Lindo Lake Restoration Project
