Spring Valley Historical Society, Invites you to our Founder’s Day Celebration!

We are celebrating:
- The Founding of the Spring Valley Historical Society – April 3, 1963
- Hubert Howe Bancroft’s Birthday – May 5, 1832
- The construction of the Bancroft Ranch Adobe built in 1863.
A brief overview of the History of the Ranch House and the Spring Valley Historical Society will be presented. Individual or small group tours will also be given. Light refreshments will be provided. We are looking forward to your visit.
The Bancroft Ranch House adobe , built in 1863, is considered the oldest adobe in San Diego’s east county. Located at a large spring that had been occupied by native Kumeyaay people for thousands of years, the Ranch House is listed on both the National Register of Historic Places and the California Register of Historical Resource. The museum features a Pioneer room, a Native American room, and an exhibit room.
